The Asus Nexus 7 is available in two different variants. The first variant for the Nexus 7 launched in 2012 with a low price point and decent hardware at the time. A year later a refreshed version of the Asus Nexus 7 launched with updated hardware. If you would like to root your Nexus 7, regardless of which version, you’ve come to the right space. This guide will help you to use our software to root your Asus Nexus device via Mac OS X.
We have created software called One Click Root and as the name suggests this software will help you to root your Android devices with the click of a button. To use our software, please follow the four easy setup steps above. Once you have followed these steps you will be ready to use our software. We’ve created One Click Root to make the rooting process simple, easy to understand and 100% safe for your device.
When the original Nexus 7 launched in 2012 it was an immediate hit. At the time there had not been any low cost 7 inch tablets with such good hardware and even today it’s still a worthwhile purchase for those looking for a cheap everyday tablet. However, the 2013 version of the Nexus 7 features better performance and unlike the 2012 variant, it has support for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The 2012 Nexus 7 has 1GB of RAM, a NVIDIA Tegra processor and a 4,325mAh battery. The 2012 variant also has a 800 x 1280 resolution on it’s display and either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The 2013 Asus Nexus 7 on the other hand has a higher resolution 1200 x 1920 7 inch display and improved hardware. The 2013 variant is on the Qualcomm ship and uses the Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz processor with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The battery is unfortunately less impressive – just 3,950mAh puts it below the 4,000mAh milestone that the 2012 variant manages to break. However, the Nexus 7 2013 features an upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1 which features a number of extra power saving features. Storage options for the Nexus 7 2013 are the same but the 8GB variant has been dropped.
Whether you have the 2012 version or the 2013 version, there’s no doubt that your Nexus 7 tablet is a sleek device that can run the android OS without a hiccup. As mentioned above, make sure to check out our step by step guide if you would like to root your tablet.
